Sutter County Teacher Residency Program
The Sutter County Teacher Residency Program (SCTRP), in partnership with the Teacher’s College of San Joaquin (TCSJ), is committed to preparing outstanding educators who prioritize equity, collaboration, and the success of all students. Through a combination of comprehensive coursework, hands-on training, supportive mentorship, and inclusive practices, SCTRP empowers reflective teachers to foster lifelong learning and build positive, supportive school communities.
This one-year teacher residency program offers an immersive experience where candidates learn alongside a mentor teacher throughout an entire school year. This unique approach provides valuable, real-world classroom experience while candidates concurrently complete credential coursework online through the Teachers College of San Joaquin.
The SCTRP is a pathway to earning a preliminary teaching credential while gaining the tools and confidence needed to make a lasting impact on students and school communities.
